Teaching

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Romans 12:2

Living Streams Flowing Water integrates academic excellence with formational prayer experiences to bring transformational teaching to life. With spiritual direction techniques and the use of formational questions, Dr. Buckwell guides the students into an expanded awareness of God. Along with enrichment of faith formation, Dr. Buckwell brings stellar knowledge of desert spirituality and ancient prayer disciplines which she weaves into contemporary congregational and personal life and leadership.

Dawna Petersen

Brenda, The pace of this [Lenten Retreat class in partnership with UMC Cyber Campus] has been balm for me; no online conversations to keep up with truly make it feel like a retreat and two prayer reflections that I can spend the whole week with seem nourishing, not frantic. I really enjoyed the first online session, seeing faces, and being guided and am so grateful for the video of the second.
